The Tour

Our journey will begin on July 1, 2004 in Ingolstadt and will be completed on July 29, 2004.

Precisely following the tour as described in the book, it will take us through the Mid West and West part of the States. Altogether around 2800 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul in Minnesota, across North and South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Oregon to California and the final destination of the tour, San Francisco.

Mostly the tour takes us along routes far from the known motorbike routes of the States. This is because firstly there are very long routes and secondly, due to crossing the Rocky Mountains from East to West, we will be very dependable on the weather. Let's see how we'll be doing.
